Appearance: The wine reveals a deeply saturated purple and red brick hue.

Nose: It entices the senses with a captivating blend of violet, cherry, and spice aromas. The subtle presence of French oak is evident, while maintaining the expected signature Monty nose.

Palate: The palate offers a warm, medium to full-bodied experience, featuring rich fruit flavors seamlessly integrated with oak nuances. The wine culminates in a lingering finish, marked by a delicate hint of tannin.

Winemaking: Harvested during the cooler evening hours to preserve its vibrancy and full fruit expression, this variety, typically late to mature, was treated with care. The fruit underwent a 10-day skin contact late in the season and was meticulously fermented at temperatures ranging from 20 to 22 degrees Celsius. Hand-plunging occurred twice daily to extract the deep, robust, and delectable qualities expected from this variety.

Food Pairing: Pair this wine with rich, meaty dishes or a selection of cheeses.

Vintage Notes: The 2020 vintage enjoyed warm and dry conditions. However, the Monty variety remains resilient and thrived in these near-ideal growing conditions, showcasing its characteristic strength and adaptability.
