Our Team ...
Stephen Nankervis - DIRECTOR
Stephen was only a young 18 year old when he started out and didn’t know much about wine. It was a mentor at the time who encouraged him to buy a bottle of wine every week to learn and appreciate its complexities. It was in 1993 when Stephen commenced working with Tucker Seabrook (now Fine Wine Partners) and working alongside his brother that he cemented himself and shaped his successful career spanning many facets of the industry.
Fast forward 30+ years and its sure to say he now has a fine appreciation for wine and all that it does to bring people together! And noting the most memorable wine he has ever drunk as a 1969 Domaine de la Romanee-Conti he has certainly tasted his fair share of good wine! He’s also been lucky enough to visit some exquisite wine regions around Australia and the world and notes Burgundy, France as being a highlight, although Rioja in Spain is still on the bucket list!
Stephen is a loving husband and father who enjoys getting together with family and friends for a good meal and a great wine! He is passionate about his beloved Hawks and his local footy club, so much so, that in 2017 he was awarded the Deakin Community Award for Excellence for his involvement in the Blackburn Football Club. Stephen prides himself on being a man of his word and will always ensure he delivers what he promises. He is an honest and down to earth bloke with a socially accepting nature and has a natural ability to nurture long term relationships in his personal and professional life.
Andrew Nankervis | DIRECTOR
Andrew has had an impressive career starting out alongside his brother at Tucker Seabrook (now Fine Wine Partners) back in 1994 and over the last 25+ years has held a number of diversified roles which has led to his success. He considers himself blessed to work in an industry he is passionate about and loves getting out on the road with clients and meeting with the wine makers and family farmers who deliver us this magnificent product.
During a stint working vintage at Henschke he was invited to a private dinner with the Henschke family where he was lucky enough to hand select from their private cellar a bottle of 1990 Henschke Hill of Grace. Andrew refers to this as the ‘most memorable’ wine he has ever drunk (excluding the Vintage Bollinger Rose he enjoyed with his wife the night they got engaged!). And whilst Andrew has visited some amazing wine regions around the world, noting Frescaboldi in Tuscany and The Clare Valley in SA as his favourite regions, further travels in France and a visit to Champagne is on his bucket list.
A devoted husband and adoring father, Andrew loves a glass of wine and spending time with his family and friends. He is passionate about his footy and loves his Blues and Port Melbourne Football Club. More recently he has been involved with the South Melbourne Bloods coaching his son and his son’s friends.
He is a charismatic bloke, who enjoys a laugh and gets along with everyone he meets and has a great ability to build a quick rapport with people in both his personal and business relationships.

Carolyn Nankervis | ADMINISTRATION MANAGER
Having spent most of her working career in sales & marketing across a diverse range of industries, Carolyn has made the move into the wine industry. Many would say she married into it in 2000 when she married her husband Andrew, and she is not complaining!
Carolyn has accomplished great things in her career and enjoys the challenges that present in small-medium size businesses. She thrives on multitasking and wearing many 'hats' to achieve results. Her other passion has been her strong involvement over the last 8 years with Brainwave Australia, a charity that supports children with debilitating neurological conditions.
However, she comments that her biggest achievement has been having 2 beautiful children and marrying Andrew over 18 years ago. It was Andrew’s proposal that she notes as her most memorable wine experience, sharing a bottle of 1990 Bollinger La Grand Annee Rose and she dreams of a visit to Champagne, France with him in the not too distant future.
Carolyn is a fun loving, passionate and open-minded person who is happiest when she is walking her cocker spaniel ‘Ebony.’ She loves holidaying with her family and friends, snow skiing and of course discovering and drinking new wines with those dearest to her!
Carolyn brings with her a lifelong passion for wine, an enthusiasm in building and strengthening personal and customer relationships and a commitment to delivering the UWS vision created by the Nankervis brothers.
